Dr Dawson Educational Session for Parents
Hello ROW Families,
The ROW Coaches along with the Board of Directors are excited to partner again this year with WLU’s Doctor of Psychology and Sports Psychologist Dr. Kim Dawson. Dr. Dawson has worked with many world class and Olympic athletes, including ROW’s own Alec Elliot who competed in Rio.
Dr. Dawson has already spoken with your kids and discussed many ways to better manage their time and energy to be better at sport and in their day-to-day lives. Now it is your turn.
For the parents, she will provide information to afford you with insight for dealing with your children in the competitive environment, how to help your swimmer cope without overplaying your hands and concepts to help manage stress as it arises. To find out more about Dr. Dawson please check out her WLU webpage at https://www.wlu.ca/faculty-profiles/science/kimberley-a-dawson.html
The Parent’s Session is open to all ROW parents with junior and/or senior swimmers. The class is set for Saturday March 24th, from 10:00 -11:30 AM.
Please Note: this year’s Parent Session will occur in the Schlegel Building located on the WLU campus near the corner of Albert Street & University Ave West in room # SBE 1210. See the map below or click the link for more information about the location of the Schlegel Building.
