Ah, the day that swimmer grandparents, aunts, uncles, mothers, fathers, and close friends demand of us...you know the conversation. It goes something like this, "She's swimming again? Oh, that's great news! Make sure you get me one of her pictures...and then, "Do you think you could get her to comb her hair this year?"
And the team picture...what's that all about? It's all about proof. 10 - 15 years from now you'll be watching the Summer Olympics on your television and you'll turn to the person sitting next to you and say, "She was on MY swim team when I was a kid!" And the person sitting next to you is going to say, "Prove it." You will then whip out your team photo with oh so much pride and you'll say to yourself, "I'm really glad my teammates and I showed up for the team photo!" Be There. You'll be glad you were.
Line up for the team photo at 9:00 on the big cement stairs across from the gym.
Individual Pictures will be taken on the pool deck in the corner of the pool that butts up against the blacktop and tennis courts. Individual and buddy photos will begin after the team photo and will continue throughout at least the first half of the meet, maybe into the second. Listen for announcements. There will be forms at the pool, but for faster service, please print at home (scroll down to find them here) and bring with you or follow these instructions from Don at MVP to order online:
