PPD Meet Info:

Be prepared for the weather. Many of you have been to Birchwood Pool before, but shade and seating around the pool is extremely limited. Families should be prepared with sunscreen and may bring chairs. Space is very limited right by the pool side, and the host club will keep the south side reserved for swimmers and coaches. Parents may sit on the north side of the pool but will be asked to move chairs/tents back away from the pool edge if they are too close.

Small tents are allowed in the pool area or just outside. Coach Nancy will bring a couple of Coho tents Saturday AM, and would appreciate some help from parents/older swimmers in putting those up. More importantly, Coach Jacob would appreciate some help in taking down the tents at the end of the meet on Sunday. Families who have tents are encouraged to bring them as well. We would like to set them all up in the same area so the team can sit together. We ask that parents do not sit under the tents with the swimmers and remain on the north side of the pool.

Parking can be an issue at Birchwood pool, especially as the morning session will end right as the afternoon swimmers are arriving. There is usually additional parking a short block away at the Pleasant Hill Elementary school. Parents are welcome to drop off swimmers at the pool before parking. The residential areas around Birchwood have various parking regulations, and people have been and will be ticketed/towed in those residential areas.
