GRPA District Meet

This meet is open to ALL WRA swimmers, ages 7 - 18 (age as of June 1st, 2018)

All events will be timed finals

Saturday, June 30th

10 & Under Session: Warm-up: 9:00-9:50 AM Meet starts: 10:00 AM

11 & Older Session Warm-up: 1:00-1:50 PM Meet starts: 2:00 PM


GRPA meets have several substantial differences from USA Swimming meets. Please be sure to read all of the meet information thoroughly.

The meet will be held at the Morgan County Aquatic Center, in Madison.


Entry fees: will be $7.50 each for individual events and $4.00 per
relay event

WRA fee: $5.00 per swimmer 


The District Meet will be held at an indoor, 8 lane short-course pool.

Important Deadlines and Dates

Entries are due 06/14

**Birth Certificates (copies, not originals) MUST be submitted, and are due 06/18**

These must be submitted and verified through the Rec Department by a specified date, and therefor no late entries or birth certificate submissions will be accepted.


This is a GRPA State Qualifying meet - you must declare your intent to swim or not swim at State when signing up for the District Meet by adding a note to your entries*. Important: please also include your intent to participate in a qualifying relay, in the event that you do not qualify in an individual event but do qualify as part of a relay team.

GRPA State will be held in Cumming GA, the weekend of July 20th and 21st. 10 & Under swimmers will compete on Friday, July 20th. 11 & Over swimmers will compete on Saturday, July 21st.


Entry Limits

Each swimmer will be allowed to participate in 3 individual events

Each swimmer may be included in up to 2 relays

(The coaches will select relay teams, which will depend on the number of swimmers participating)


State Qualifying Information

In order to qualify for State, you must satisfy the following requirement:

  • You must place in the top 3 in your event at the District Meet

If a relay team qualifies for State, each participant must also be willing/able to compete at State

*When declaring your intent to participate at the State Meet, we are not asking you to anticipate whether or not you will qualify for the State Meet. We are only asking that you declare whether or not you will be able to participate if you do qualify, whether in an individual event, a relay, or both.
