Description

This is a long course meet, meaning that competition will take place in a 50 meter (Olympic size) swimming pool.

Location: I.U. Natatorium located on the campus of IUPUI, Indianapolis, Indiana

This is a team travel meet.  It is available to Senior and Advanced Age Group swimmers from both Blue Springs and St. Joseph who previously submitted their intention to participate. Our team will only be swimming 13-14 and OPEN events. 12 year old swimmers may attend if they are able to swim OPEN events.

Dates:    The team will leave Thursday morning, June 21, 2018  from the parking lot of Centennial Pool (The Blue ) at the completion of morning practice -- approximatley 8:30 AM. The team will return home at the completion of the meet on Sunday, June 24, 2018. The coaches hope to arrive home to Centennial Pool (The Blue) by 9:00 PM.

Entry Limit: 4 events per day

Limited Events:  The host team reserves the right to limit any or combine selected events to complete the session within the requirements of USA Swimming and Indiana Swimming rules. 

Meet Costs:  $4.00 per event, Indiana Swimming/I.U. Natatorium Surcharge of $3.50 per swimmer, $25 Coaches fee.

Travel Costs:  $285 per swimmer -- This includes 3 nights in a hotel and bus transportation throughout the entire trip. (This will be invoiced to your team account to be collected with your monthly contract and meet fees on June 1, 2018). All participating swimmers will be charged the team travel costs even if swimmers choose to ride/stay with parents as non-refundable deposits have already been made to secure hotel rooms and bus. 

Food Costs: Swimmers will be responsible for bringing money to pay for their meals. Coaches are considering collecting a meal fee for some meals to be brought in to the team such as breakfast on Thursday morning of departure and a meal on the bus ride home. The amount of this fee will be calculated and provided at a later date and will be invoiced to your team account. 

A required meeting regarding travel and swimmer conduct during the trip will be held at a date to be determined. All swimmers and parents will need to attend this meeting. (A meeting will be held in Blue Springs and one in St. Joe for the convenience of families in each location.)
