Eligibility: Latest edition MN Swimming
“BB” standards for 50 meter and 100 meter events.
Latest edition MN Swimming “A” standards for 200 meter
events and longer. All age groups will utilize their own age group
standards to qualify.
13 & Over swimmers will qualify for the 50 meter butterfly, backstroke, and breaststroke events with the their age group’s standard for the corresponding 100 meter event, but will still use a 50 meter seed time to enter the event.
Open Lane Swims: Open lane swims will be
offered on a space-available basis. Open lane swims cost $10 and
are not eligible to qualify for evening finals. The request form
will open on Wednesday, June 20 and close on Monday, June 25. Since
all events will be seeded after scratches, acceptance of open lane
swims will be communicated via that day’s heat sheet.
Although the scratch/no-show penalties will not apply to open lane
swims, clubs are responsible for payment for all of their accepted
open lane swims, regardless of whether or not the swimmer swims in
the event, and will be invoiced at the conclusion of the meet.
Swimmers must be registered in the meet in order to have the opportunity to participate in Open Lane Swims.
TEAM COLORS – Please wear either black/gold or NSAC apparel for warm ups at all swim meets. This promotes a more unified presence and promotes more team pride.
SPORTSMANSHIP – Shake hands with opponents after races regardless if you won or lost, no goggle or cap throwing and only draw positive attention to our team.
EVENTS – Coaches have the final say in all events that swimmers compete in. If you are entered into an event you do not want to swim, still give it your best. The coaches have your best interest in mind and put you in events they believe you can swim.
BE EARLY – Please arrive 15 MINUTES prior to the start of meet warm ups.
COMMUNICATION – Speak with your coaches before and after each race.
CHEERING – It is important to cheer on your teammates throughout the duration of the whole meet. This helps to create a unified and supportive environment.
