Senior Open Meet hosted by KATY Aquatics
WHAT: KATY Aquatics Senior Open Meet
WHEN: May 19th-20th
WHERE: University of Houston Recreation Center, 4500 University Dr, Houston TX 77004
WHO: This meet is open to all TWST swimmers aged 15 and Over with no time standards required** Swimmers aged 13-14 must have the 13-14 AA time by event to enter that event.
**Swimmers aged 15 and over who were committed to the May LC meet will be moved to this meet and taken out of the May LC meet. NON-PARTICIPANT WAIVER FOR UNIVERSITY OF HOUSTON: Thank you so much for your interest in attending the May Senior Meet hosted by Katy Aquatics. We are very excited to have you with us at University of Houston for this meet.
The State of Texas has had some new legislation passed in January that requires all non-participants that will be interacting with minors at an event on campus for 2+ days to complete a different Athlete Protection Training course provided by University of Houston. The University is working hard in conjunction with USA Swimming to add it's APT course to the list of approved courses, but in the interim we will need all Coaches, Officials, & Volunteers (including timers) to do the following: (Basically, if you are an adult on deck (18&older) you must do this training!)
Complete and submit the attached ePOI Application Form no later than Friday, April 20th (The Unique Identifier Type is your SSN). **Form attached to info email** You may send them to Travis Sandifer at email@example.com. You may also submit them directly to the University of Houston Sponsor, Rachel O'Mara at firstname.lastname@example.org.
After your application is processed and you have a profile (usually about 6 business days) you will need to log-in and complete the ~45 minute training. The process for logging in and completing the training once you have a profile can be found at: http://www.uh.edu/dos/resources/cpfm/training-information/.
DEADLINE TO UNCOMMIT/REVIEW EVENTS: All eligible swimmers have been committed to this meet. Swimmers will have until April 23rd to uncommit from this meet. At that time, the coaches will build events for the swimmers. They will have until Tuesday, May 1st to review events. Please send any questions about meet entries to your group coach. At the close of the review period, the meet file will be built and sent to the host team and all swimmers entered at that time will be billed regardless of actual meet attendance.
