SVSL Championship Meet

Description

Attached below is the Qualifying time sheet & schedule for Saturday. 

Event 1-60 session 1 * Events 61 and up session 2 * ALL relays in 2nd session

All WST swimmers should attend as the morning and afternoon session scores will be combined to give us an overall TEAM SCORE.   ALL swimmers times will help us towards a team win.

SVSL Championship Meet @ Chet Hobert Park, Clarke County Parks & Recreation, 225 Al Smith Cir, Berryville, VA

Tents, chairs and coolers can be dropped off Friday night from 6:30pm - 7:15pm.  Please keep tents close to the ground in case of bad weather.

The pool will open Saturday at 6:45am.

We are wearing our WST team grey 50th anniversary shirts and caps!!  We hope to get group pictures of the AM and PM sessions after warm ups.

Format:  Session 1 - AM (SH1) is only open to swimmers who have qualified in one or fewer events.  Session 2 - PM (SH2) is open to swimmers who have attained SVSL qualifying times in their individual events.  All relays are in session 2 (SH2).  Some swimmers are scheduled for both sessions. 

Warm Ups:

Session 1:  Warm Ups 7:45am, Meet Starts 8:30am

Session 2:  Warm Ups 12:15pm, Meet Starts 12:30pm

Swimmers will receive their event/lane/heat assignments from our coaches after warm ups.

This is the Championship SVSL Meet between WST, Clearbrook, Sherando, Stonebrook Country Club, Winchester Country Club and Clarke County.

Concessions:  There will be a general concession stand available to spectators.

Heat Sheets: will be sold at the park.

T-Shirts:  Championship T-shirts and hoodies will be available for purchase. 

Theme:  As we bring this season to an end, it can be a time to reflect... maybe on the past 50 years of fashion choices and big hair. 60's, 70's, 80's, 90's, or early 2000's are all welcome here. The are so many possibilities with this one! 

Parking:  Parking will be available at the pool site, playground, Recreation Center, and the parking lot across from the pool adjacent to the ball fields. CCPR requests that parents DO NOT park on the shoulder along Al Smith Circle or drive across the walking trail.

WST Team Area:  Please feel free to bring your pop up tents, camping chairs, blankets and coolers.  There will be a section for the WST members/families to camp out, look for the WST sign in the grass area.  Feel free to bring snacks to share, a team table will be available for WST swimmers to gather around.

Ribbons: 

Session 1:

Individual awards: Ribbons 1st –12th

       Individual scoring for 1st – 6th place will be 7-5-4-3-2-1
       Points from Session 1 will carry over to Session 2.

Session 2:

Individual awards:  Medals to 1st, 2nd, 3rd; ribbons to 4th – 12th

Relay awards:  Medals to 1st, 2nd, 3rd; ribbons to 4th – 12th

Individual event scoring will be 16-13-12-11-10-9-7-5-4-3-2-1. 

Relays scoring will be 32-26-24-22-20-18-14-10.

A permanent team award will be presented to each team based on the final  Championship Meet Results at the conclusion of the meet.
