Ele's Place Swim-a-thon and Senior Recognition Day
(this is a team hosted event)
Wednesday evening, 13 June.
Senior night: As DCAC concludes its 25th year, we would like to take time to recognize our amazing seniors who have accomplished so much in the pool and in the community. Their accomplishments are a testament to their drive to become the best versions of themselves, their relentless pursuit of perfection, and validates the value of DCAC in developing successful student-athletes. We will honor our seniors prior to starting the Ele’s Place swim-a-thon.
Ele's Place Swim-a-thon- DCAC will again hold a swim-a-thon fundraiser to support the Ele’s Place Charity. Ele's Place is a healing center for grieving children and teens in Ann Arbor. Each week, peer support group programs help hundreds of children and teens learn how to cope and begin to heal after the death of a parent, sibling or other loved one. Before coming to Ele’s Place, many grieving children feel alone and keep their feelings inside, not wanting to burden their parents or other family members. Often, friends don’t seem to understand if they haven’t had a similar experience. But each week at Ele’s Place, hundreds of grieving children and teens find a warm and welcoming place to meet new friends who really understand how they feel, while they begin to heal after the death of a loved one.
Last year, DCAC raised $3,196.25 and look to have an even larger donation in 2018. We will have numerous prizes for swimmers logging the most laps and who raise the most money. More information will be published soon.
