Email from PAC (6/19/2018):

Hello Everyone!

I have updated the HOSTED MEETS PAGE to show the TIMING and WARM UP assignments.  Please make sure you take a look at that and let your team know.

Couple of things before Friday...
- Please encourage your kids to hang out in the Field House.  Also, Stevenson HS security is going to try and keep all bags, drinks and food off the deck so please encourage your kids to leave their stuff in the field house.
- Sunday AM distance events, the swimmers will need to provide their own timer and counter.
- Please try to park in Lot D or Lot B. We have some construction going on that may cause some confusion.
- Lastly, they plan on doing work on the Port Clinton rd entrance to the school. They haven't started yet but I recommend entering through Rt. 22 just in case.

Looking forward to a great weekend!  See you Friday AM!!

Email from PAC (6/14/2018):

Hello Everyone!

We are almost a week away from our meet next weekend.  I have updated the HOSTED MEETS page for this events.  Please go in and double check that I submitted your updates correctly.

I will be sending out warm up information next week.  Also, please let your families know we will need assistance in timing throughout the meet.

We have decided to limit the 400 FR to the top 40 after scratches, and the 400 IM to top 24 after scratches.  Because of the large amount of kids wishing to swim these events we would like to offer an alternative event or we can put them in the 12 & Under 400's on Sunday.  Please let me know what you'd like to do with your athletes who fall under the "ALTERNATE" threshold for those two events.

Lastly, we are still NOT swimming relays.  If you have already sent a check please let me know what you'd like us to do to.  Reimburse or issue a new check?

Thanks everyone!  We are really excited about the level of competition this meet will bring.  See you on next Friday!!

Email from PAC (5/15/2018):

Hello Everyone!

First of all, THANK YOU for your interest in this meet.  The past two years we have been working to increase the size and improve the meet.  This year my Inbox got blown away by the number of entries.  Compared to past years this will be a much larger meet and faster then past years.

Second, I have updated the HOSTED MEETS page for this event so you can see the details as of right now.  We are excited to see two teams from out of state joining us this year, Denver Swim Academy (CO) and Waunakee Waves (WI).

Here are the changes we have already decided on to help relieve some timeline issues...
1.) Canceling ALL relays!
2.) We will be limiting the 400 Free & IM to top 24 after scratches (2 Heats in the AM, and 1 heat in Finals).  In the meet packet I have that you can select other events if you choose but let me chat with my staff and Head Official about other option we can offer so those kids can still swim those events if they want.
3.) Adjusting start times...Mid Day sessions will start at 2:00pm and Finals will start at 6:00pm.  If the mid day session runs late we will make sure there is a 1hr warm up between that session and Finals. Also, Sunday, 12 & Under distance will start no earlier than 12:00pm due to the large amount of entries in the 800 & 1500.

I do have a few exception reports to send teams and I will contact you individually.  Thanks again and looking forward to seeing everyone!

This meet is a meet for those swimmers not attending the Nashville meet the same weekend if the swimmers are not qualified for Nashville or are choosing not to go.  We also have a limited amount of slots for the Nashville meet so this will serve as a backup.

Anyone entered in the Nashville Meet SHOULD NOT be entered in this meet as they are the SAME WEEKEND.  If your swimmer is not swimming the Nashville MEET they SHOULD attend this meet.  This will be midseason taper weekend and you don't want to miss out!!!

Entries

There are qualifying standards for this meet.  According to the attached meet packet, the qualifying standards are the minimum "BB" from the USA Swimming 2017-2020 National Motivational Time Standards.  These are also attached on the meet page.

Swimmers may be entered in a maximum of 3 individual events per day plus relays for Friday and Saturday.  Swimmers may be entered in a maximum of 2 individual events on Sunday.

The entry process is "COMMIT BY EVENT" so it should be easy to determine if your swimmer is qualified.  Please follow the entry rules listed above.  The Coaching Staff will review the entries following the entry deadline and determine if the event schedule makes sense and is compliant with the rules of the meet.  If any changes are necessary, they will be up to the discretion of the Coaching Staff and the swimmer will be notified of the change and the reasoning.  Please don't hesitate to contact the Coaching Staff at westcoach@comcast.net or scotterdman@hotmail.com with any questions.
