West Hartford Memorial Day Parade

Come Join the Sharks Swim Team and March in the West Hartford Memorial Day Parade. 

A Team Tradition

  Monday May 28th

Please arrive between 9:15 and 9:30am  - We are in the Fourth Division

Meeting place:  Corner of  Woodrow Street and Farmington Ave

Wear your Blue Sharks Team Shirt. 

The parade begins at 10:00 AM. 

PARKING:  Free parking is available at all of the municipal parking lots all day on Memorial Day. They are located on Brace Road, Town Hall. The lots on LaSalle Road/Arapahoe and Farmington Avenue may be difficult to access prior to the parade.

In preparation for the Memorial Day parade, starting at 12AM on Monday, May 28 the Town will implement a parking ban along the parade route. On-street parking will prohibited on the west side of Pleasant St. from Whitman Ave. to Farmington Ave.; on Farmington Ave., both sides, from Walden St. to Raymond Rd.; and on North Main St. and South Main St., both sides, from Brace Rd. to Burr St.

The Town will lift the parking ban following the conclusion of the parade. Parking will resume normal operation on Tuesday, May 29 at 6AM. For more information, go to

PARADE LENGTH:  The parade is 0.69 mile long. It begins on Farmington Avenue at Woodrow Street and ends at Town Hall, 50 South Main Street. Buses may pick up their groups at Town Hall.

WEAR/BRING: Wear  Blue Sharks T-Shirts, comfortable shoes, sunglasses, and sun screen. Bring water and your patriotic spirit.

RESTROOMS:  There are no public restrooms in the five division line-up areas. There are coffee shops and restaurants on Farmington Avenue, South Main Street and LaSalle Road that will be open.

You Are On TV:  West Hartford Community TV will be broadcasting the parade live from the Veterans Memorial, corner of South Main Street and Farmington Avenue. Wave to the camera!
