Potomac Station typically leaves our pool parking lot open for swim team use, but it is limited. Please refrain from parking along Valemount Terrace as they will be towed. Please follow the parking signs - there is parking available at our tennis courts and Harper Park Middle School as well.
When you walk into the pool, Invited Team will be on the right. Swimmers gather on the far side of the pool and spectators just as you walk in (wherever you would like to sit)
To maintain clear sight lines and facilitate efficient meet operations, parents not working the meet and competitors may not loiter along the edges of the pool between the timers and the starter equipment.
Potomac Station Sailfish encourages families to bring their own deck chairs. There is no pool deck chairs available for anyone use.
There will be food, drinks and snacks available for sale - we will be grilling burgers and hot dogs on Wednesday evening.
Home Team Warm Up: 45 mins prior to meet start time for 20 minutes
Visiting Team Warm Up: 25 minutes prior to meet start time for 20 minutes
Events begin promptly at the meet start time
Per ODSL rules, we ask you to provide 2 Stroke & Turn Judges, 9 Timers, 1 Clerk of Course Assistant, 1 Scorekeeper/Assistant Computer Operator and 1 Ribbon Writer.
6 lanes, 25 meters
Water Depth is 5’ at both starting and ending of the pool.
Timers do not move between 25m and 50m events. Swimmers will be lined up at different end of the pool for their events.
Visiting Team Entry Deadline
FINAL ENTRY FILE IS DUE 48 HOURS PRIOR TO THE MEET START TIME.
POTOMAC STATION SAILFISH DO NOT ACCEPT DECK ENTRIES.
Important: The above date is the deadline for the visiting team to submit their entry to the SAILFISH Computer Operator. Therefore, clubs usually set an earlier deadline to receive entries from their swimmers. Check with your team for this deadline information.
A swimmer may enter a maximum of three (3) individual events.
A swimmer may enter a maximum of two (2) relay events.
Potomac Station Sailfish uses Dolphin wireless Timing system. 2 timers will be using Dolphin Timer watch and 1 timer will be using regular stop watch. Visiting teams must supply a minimum of 9 timers for this meet
Coaches are responsible for the conduct of their swimmers and families and for cleaning up their team areas.
Meet programs will be provided to the team representatives and officials only. If available in sufficient time before the meet, an electronic copy of the meet program will be provided to team representatives for distribution to their membership.
Ribbons will be awarded for 1st-6th place individual events per age group.
