Mini-Session participants learn the
techniques necessary for good backstroke, freestyle, butterfly,
breaststroke, dives, turns and underwater breakouts.
The classes, taught by a USA Swimming
instructor along with a few of the club's advanced swimmers, are
intensive, fun, and absolutely non-competitive.
Applicants must 1) be at least 7 years
old, and 2) be able to swim in some fashion, unassisted and
without holding onto lanelines, for 25

The Mini-Session classes are one hour long
each, and there are nine all together. They meet on Tuesdays and
Thursdays at 4:30--5:30 p.m. and on Saturdays at 9:00-10:00

hour to the next so missing one or two of the nine classes does not
hinder overall progress. Most families have to miss a

Fitted goggles are $15.
TRSC Mini-Sessions are designed to
for those swimmers who want to pursue the sport, the Mini-Sessions
will serve as key preparation for TRSC's year-round program
(the "Regular" Session).
Most youngsters do at
Mini-Sessions before the coaches feel they are ready to
consider that year-round program. Occasionally, however, an
older Mini-Session swimmer ( 9 or over) will be prepared
after just one Mini-Session.
To reserve your child's spot in the June
Mini-Session, pre-registration is required. A registration form is
