Description

Our annual Swim-a-Lap is a fun challenge for our swimmers to see how many laps they can swim in an hour. We partner this with raising money for a cause team the team selects by asking for per-lap pledges, or a flat donation. Donating is easy using our online fundraising tool, or families can make a donation via check or cash using the pledge form posted below.

The Wellington Dolphins are doing our 2018 Swim-a-Lap to support the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and one of our own Mini Dolphins, Jack who has his daily battle with Cystic Fibrosis. Cystic Fibrosis is fatal and there is no cure...Yet! To brave this battle, Jack has to take 14 different medications daily and spends 2-4 hours per day hooked up to machines to help clear his airways so that he can simply take a breath. Jack is VERY excited to be part of our team this year!

$.98 of every dollar sent to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation goes towards research for a cure and grants that help kids like Jack and his family get the support they need. The team hopes to help Jack and the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation through his National fundraising team,"Jack's Attack Pack" with a donation from our Swim-a-Lap. If you want to learn more about the CFF, Jack and his team, find him and his family on the pool deck-they would love to have your continuing support.

We need families to help with lap counting and also with food donations, and help setup and cleanup for both the morning and avening practices. Please see the job signup page if you can help with this event.

We also use this fundraiser to collect items for the Food Pantry at Grace United Methodist Church, our neighbor here in Wellington.
