Grand Canyon State Games
The Grand Canyon State Games will be hosted by the Arizona Sports and Entertainment Commission at the Mona Plummer Aquatic Center at ASU in Tempe, on Sunday, July 29th.
Swimmers must register and pay on the Grand Canyon State Games-Swimming website: https://events.clearthunder.com/GCSGSWIM Be sure to click on the Register Now button at the bottom of the page to begin the registration process.
Please also Sign Up and indicate Yes on the Swim Neptune website if you plan to attend and are registered and paid on the Grand Canyon State Games website. Swim Neptune will have at least one coach at the meet for those who sign up. Swim Neptune will collect no fees for this meet. All fees will be paid directly to the Grand Canyon State Games.
There are two sessions of the meet, one beginning at 8:00am with a 7:00 warm up for swimmers ages 10 and Under.
The second session for swimmers age 11 & Up will begin no sooner than 10:00am with Warm Up available during the first session.
There are two divisions of the meet. One for Recreation or non-USA swimmers, and an Open division for USA Swimming registered swimmers and others, including Recreation swimmers. Medals will be awarded to the Top 3 finishers in each event.

2018 GCSG SWIMMING EVENT
Dates/Location: Sunday July 29, 2018 - ASU Mona Plummer Aquatic Center on the ASU Campus in Tempe
Entry Fees: Youth: $20 entry fee and $5 per event (maximum of 5 swims total).
Entry Deadline: Entries must be submitted on or before July 23, 2018. Any later entry will be accepted only with Commissioners’ approval and a $15 late fee. ABSOLUTELY NO ENTRIES ACCEPTED THE DAY OF THE MEET! Heat and lane assignments available day of MEET.
Awards: Special Grand Canyon State Games medals, with neck ribbons, for top three event finishers in each division in each age-group.
Competition Divisions: (Maximum of 5 swims total per athlete)
• Recreation - Athletes 18 or younger, not training with a USA Swimming club or competing in a USA Swimming meet after 3-15.
• Open Any athlete 18 or younger, regardless of USA swimming participation.
RULES AND ENTRY INFORMATION:
NOTE: No affiliations with any swimming governing body is required for participation
USA Swimming rules apply to Sessions 1 and 2; USA Swimming APPROVAL will be sought to allow times achieved at GCSG to be available for use in competitions within those organizations. Age on competition date sets swimmer’s age group. Swimmers in sessions 1 & 2 should enter with a SHORT Course (SCY) time for that distance. If the swimmer has no time, enter as NT. Event entries without times will be seeded as NO TIME (NT).

Awards will be presented at the end of the session for both Recreation and Open divisions.

Sessions 1 and 2 shall each have both Recreation and Open events.
Athletes eligible for Recreation may enter some Open events but are subject to 5 TOTAL SWIMS PER DAY LIMIT.
Swimmers MAY NOT enter both classes for the same event.
