Carmody Recreation Center 2200 S Kipling St, Lakewood, CO
Elevation 5320 ft, indoor 6 lane 25 yard pool with the non-turbulent lane markers. A small warm- down pool will also be available. The competition course has been certified in accordance with104.2.2C (4) The pool depth at both ends is 6ft.
We reserve the right to adjust session start times depending upon the number of entries we receive. The start times will be emailed out to teams no later than October 9 and will be posted onhttp://www.foothillsswimteam.com/ under the Events tab.
Colorado Timing Systems scoreboard, CTS 6000 timer and touch pads with back-up buttons will be used. Colorado Timing System with touch pads at one end and buttons on the far end. There is an electronic scoreboard with a 6 lane read out.
All teams will be asked to provide timers. The Meet Director will determine the number of timers per team, per session based upon the number of swimmers entered. Timing assignments will be e-mailed no later than Monday, October 9.
Meet will be seeded slowest to fastest, except for those events explicated stated otherwise.
Open to all swimmers holding a 2018/2019 USA swimming membership card. No swimmer shall be permitted to compete unless the swimmer is a member as provided in Article 302. Swimmers who are within the 120-day transfer rule must swim UNATTACHED.
Per USA Swimming rule 302.4, Colorado Swimming Inc. will impose a fine of $150 per swimmer who shows up on the post meet registration check charged to the team account. Teams will receive one Meet Recon email as a reminder to register the swimmers. As soon as the post meet registration check is run the team will be charged.
Any swimmer entered in the meet must be certified by a USA Swimming member coach as being proficient in performing a racing start or must start each race from within the water. When unaccompanied by a member-coach, is the responsibility of the swimmer or the swimmer's legal guardian to ensure compliance with this requirement."
Swimmers are permitted to swim a maximum of three (3) individual events per day.
All events 200 meters or greater will require positive check-in and will be deck seeded prior to the session in which the event takes place. The 12&U 200 IM will be pre-seeded to allow the meet to start on time. Swimmers who do not check in may not be allowed to swim positive check-in events. Positive check-in will close 30 minutes prior to the start of each session to allow time to seed the events. Swimmers who fail to swim an event for which they have positively checked in, will be charged a penalty.
The 500 Free will be limited to a total of 12 heats per age group (12 & Under and 13 & Over). The top 36 girls and the top 36 boys of each age group will swim (total of 24 heats). The 1650 Free will be limited to a total of 4 heats: the top 12 female and the top 12 male entries will swim. Entry fees paid for swimmers entering the 500 that are not in the top 36 and the 1650 that are not in the top 12 will be refunded. Fees for swimmers who enter these events are in the top 30 (for 400) or 12 (for 1650) but do not positively check in or report for the race will not be refunded.
FST reserves the right to exceed limit of the distance events with FST swimmers and FST swimmers will be exempt from qualification times.
The 400 IM and 1650 Free will be swum fastest to slowest. Events may be combined to reduce the number of heats.
· Swimmers in the 400 IM must provide their own timers
· Swimmers in the 1650 must provide their own timers and counters
· Swimmers in the 500 Free must provide their own counters
$5.00 per individual event, plus and $11.00 pool surcharge per swimmer ($2 will be a donation to the Saint Joseph Hospital Breast Care Center, 1825 Marion Street Denver, Colorado 80218) $.75 per individual swim goes to the CSI support fund.
$15.00 per late event entry (in open lanes only).
$25.00 penalty fee for missed positive check-in events
Positive Check In :
· Positive check-in will close 30 minutes prior to the start of each session to allow time to seed the events.
· All events 200 meters or greater may require positive check-in and will be deck seeded prior to the session in which the event takes place.
o Events: 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 23, 25, 33, 34, 36, 37, 41, 42, 66, 67, 74, 75, 76, 77, 78
· Swimmers who do not check in may not be allowed to swim positive check-in events.
Ribbons for 1st – 10th place in individual events for 12 & Under events only. 12 & Under swimmers entering Open events will not get ribbons for those.
Hospitality will be available to coaches and officials only.
Meet programs will be available for $5.00.
