70th Annual Husky Invitational in Federal Way, WA

November 30th- December 2nd

Host: Husky Swimming Foundation

Facility: Weyerhauser King County Aquatic Center

650 SW Campus Drive, Federal Way, Washington

Entry Deadline:  Monday, November 19th

Travel:  Athletes from our Senior Program in the SRIII, SRII, & SRI groups are eligible to attend.  All athletes attending are expected to travel with the team.  Coaches will be looking at attendance to determine if the athlete has earned a team travel spot.

Travel Cost: $500-600 Estimate.  Includes flight, hotel, van rentals, breakfast, dinner, drinks, and snacks

Swimmers:  Warm up and meet start times are listed below. Make sure to travel light.  Please bring only one swim bag, and one carry on suitcase/bag.   Make sure to bring team gear, a Yellow Canyons cap, extra goggles, backup racing suit, SHOES to cover your feet while on deck, team warm ups, extra towel, sunscreen, healthy snacks, and a water bottle.

Purpose and Goals:  The goal is to compete in a championship format & environment with the opportunity to compete in prelims & finals.  Many collegiate teams will be attending, and the meet event line up follows closely to the NCAA format.  This will give great exposure to how collegiate teams/athletes conduct themselves at a swim meet.

Meet Cost: $15 Swimmer Surcharge + $10 per individual event

Format & Rules:  This is a prelim/final meet.  Each swimmer may enter up to a maximum of 6 events, with a maximum of 3 events per day.

1650 Freestyle:  All heats will be seeded and swum fastest to slowest and will begin immediately following the Sunday preliminary session.  The 1650 may be limited to the top 32 entries.  Positive check-in will be required for the 1650.

The top 24 of each event will compete in 3 heats of scoring (A-B-C final).  For the 50 free, there will be 2 non-scoring heats (D-E final), and for the 100 & 200 events, there will be 1 non-scoring heat (D final)

Relays:  The top 8 seeds will swim during the finals session.  All other relays will be swim with the preliminary heats.  All heats of the 400 free relay will be swum during the preliminary session.
