The  SRVA C/B/BB+ Meet is October 20 & 21, in San Ramon.  This meet is for AG1, AG2, AG3, and AG4 swimmers.  Enter online as soon as entries open.  This meet will fill before the published entry deadline.    The most competitive race of the fall season is to get entered into a meet before it closes (sometimes within 48 hours of opening and well before the published entry deadline).  If you would like to participate in the meet, please enter it as soon as you can.

My best advice is to mix a few races that your swimmer is comfortable swimming, with a few longer races.  Also, ease into the longer distances...

...if your swimmer has done 25's in the summer, then stick to 25's and 50's, and maybe try the 100 free.
...if your swimmer has done 50's in the summer, then stick with 50's and 100's at first, before venturing into the 200 and longer events.
If you have a time for a certain event, use that as your entry time.  If you don't have a time for a certain event, I would enter make an educated guess (like double your 50 time and add 12 seconds), and then err on the slow side.
Below is a primer on how to navigate the online entries website.  For entry purposes, our club code is WCAB, and we are part of Pacific Swimming.  Your swimmer's USA Registration number will be MMDDYYFFFMLLLL, MMDDYY is their birthdate, and FFF is the first 3 letters of their first name, M is middle initial, and LLLL is the first 4 letters of their last name.  If you have a shorter name, or no middle initial, use the asterisk * as a place holder.

How to Enter Meets Online
1.  Download or obtain a copy of the meet sheet of interest and choose the events your child wants to swim (available from
2.  Click on the online entries link – this will take you to the Welcome Page to enter the meet.
3.  On the Welcome Page, click on the Online Meet Entry red/orange button in the middle of the page which takes you to Customer Identification page.
4.  On the User Identification page, click on either:  a. Swim Connection Member (Orange) or b. Non-Member (Blue).
5.  Fill in the appropriate information using the parent name – not the child’s name.  Click Enter and this takes you to the Entries Summary page.  NOTE: If you see a message indicating “Swimmer not found in registration database”, click Enter, then enter the swimmer’s information with the team code of WCAB.
6.   Enter in your child’s USA Membership number in the box called “USA-A Reg No”. NOTE: If your child does not yet have a USA Membership number, click the Reg Pending box and then click Enter.
7.  Follow the website’s process all the way through the payment page and print out your receipt.  Bring the receipt and entries summary with you to the meet in case there are any problems.
