This will be open to all 11 & Over swimmers that are registered with USA-Swimming/Potomac Valley Swimming and meet the minimum time standard.

  • Course #2, water depth ranges from 10”-9”’ to 5’ in both the starting and turning ends

    • Friday warm-up 4:00-4:50 p.m. Events at 5:00 p.m.

    • Saturday  warm-up 7:00 a.m. Events at 8:00 a.m.
  • Sunday, November 11:
    • Sunday Morning warm-up 7:00 a.m. Events at 8:00 a.m.

Meet Director reserves the right to adjust times/sessions after entries are received.

Qualifying Times:

2017-20 USA “BB” times are the minimum qualifying standards in all events, all age groups.

  • 11-12 yr old swimmers may enter 200’s of stroke in the 13&O session IF they have an 11-12 “BB” qualifying time. These events will count towards the maximum daily entry limit.
  • Swimmers ages 15 & older will use the 15-16 “BB” standard

Event Rules:

  • There will be two courses used. One course will be 13&O Girls and 12&U Boys and the other course will be 13&O Boys and 12&U Girls.
  • Friday events will be swum fast to slow.
  • PVS Meet Safety & Warm-up procedures will be in effect.
  • No on-deck USA-S registration will be permitted.
  • Distance events 400 yards and longer will require Positive Check-In. Positive
    check in will close 30 minutes after the start of the warm-up session.


  • Current USA Swimming rules shall govern this meet.
  • A contestant shall participate in only his or her own age group.
  • Contestants may enter a maximum of ten (7) individual events for the meet. Swimmers may enter up to a maximum of 3 events on Saturday and 3 events on Sunday.
  • Yard times will be the conforming times for this meet and will be seeded before LC times.
  • No on-deck USA-S registration is permitted.
  • In compliance with USA Swimming Rules and Regulations, the use of audio or visual recording devices, including a cell phone is not permitted in the changing areas, rest rooms, or locker rooms. Per PVS policy, the use of equipment capable of taking pictures (i.e., cell phones, cameras, etc.) is banned from behind the starting blocks during the entire meet, including warm up, competition and cool down periods.
  • Deck changes are prohibited.
  • Any swimmer entered in the meet must be certified by a USA Swimming member coach as being proficient in performing a racing start or must start each race from within the water. When unaccompanied by a member-coach, it is the responsibility of the swimmer or the swimmer’s legal guardian to ensure compliance with this requirement.
  • Operation of a drone or any other flying devices is prohibited over the venue (pools, athlete/coach areas, spectator areas and open ceiling locker rooms) any time athletes, coaches, officials and/or spectators are present.
  • Dive-over starts will be used during the all preliminary sessions.


  • Clubs will be assigned lanes to provide timers in proportion to their entries.
  • Swimmers in the 1000 Freestyle will be responsible for providing their own Timer
    and Counter.
  • Swimmers must provide their own timer for all events at the Friday night session.
