USA Swimming has implemented a new Safe Sport Initiative. The Minor Athlete Abuse Prevention Policy (MAAPP) went into effect on Sunday, June 23rd 2019. USA Swimming’s top priority continues to be keeping our athletes safe. No form of abuse, including child sexual abuse, has a place in our sport.
USA Swimming member clubs and LSCs are required to implement this Minor Athlete Abuse Prevention Policy in full.
All Piranhas Swimming families must comply with this requirement by committing to the MAAPP event on the Piranhas website by Sunday, September 29th 2019. Commitment/acknowledgement is just like committing to a swim meet.
By committing to the MAAPP event for each Piranhas Swimming Team Member in your family, you are acknowledging the following statement:
I acknowledge that I have received, read and understood the Minor Athlete Abuse Prevention Policy and/or that the Policy has been explained to me or my family. I further acknowledge and understand that agreeing to comply with the contents of this Policy is a condition of my membership with Piranhas Swimming.
If you have any questions regarding the Minor Athlete Abuse Prevention Policy, please leave your question in the comments section when completing the commitment/acknowledgement.
