Dear Coaches and Clubs:

The following email contains important information for the 2021 Speedo Winter Junior Championships – East. Please take a moment to carefully read through the items below and let us know if you have any questions.

  • Please take a moment to read through the COVID-19 Information outlined in the Meet Information Book (p. 5).

·        All athletes and coaches must show proof of a negative PCR or Antigen COVID-19 test taken 72 hours prior to picking up their credential. Rapid tests are acceptable.

  • A negative test within 72 hours is needed, we are sorry for those who thought a positive test plus doctor’s note would suffice.

·        Negative test results shown at registration must be VERIFIED. A rapid antigen test is acceptable, as are some rapid at-home tests.

  • The negative results report (either digital or hard copy) MUST include the individual’s name, date of test, and result, and must be from a verifiable source such as a lab or an app. A photo of an at-home test will not suffice.
  • An example of a verified at-home COVID-19 test can be found here (BD Veritor at-Home COVID-19 Test Kit).
  • Masks will be required on the pool deck, regardless of vaccination status.
  • Vaccinations are strongly recommended for coaches and athletes but are not required.
  • Please do not email your test results. Results should be shown at Registration ONLY.

  • There will be a virtual (Zoom-based) technical meeting on Tuesday, December 7 at 7:00 pm ET.
  • Details will be sent to each coach. Coaches are encouraged to check the USA Swimming website for last minute details about the event. Participating coaches and athletes are responsible for all information in this document, distributed at the technical meeting, and posted on the event website.
