Description

Devil Mountain Pentathlon is an invitational meet taking place at Dana Hills Swim Club, 298 Mountaire Circle, Clayton, CA 94517. The Pool is on the corner of Mountaire Parkway and the second intersection with Mountaire Circle.

This unique meet is hosted by the Dana Hills Otters in which every swimmer competes in all five individual events; freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, and butterfly and the Individual Medley ( 6 & U's swim a 50 yard freestyle instead of the IM).  Awards are given for all of the individual events’ results (including heat winners), and the times from each of the five races are totaled to determine overall Pentathlon rankings for swimmers in A and B divisions in each age/gender group which are announced in an exciting ceremony at the end of each day. This is a great meet for popping times and swimming lots of races.

This meet is an all-day event and runs two days, but swimmers participate on only one day based on their age/gender group.

Sat., (date):    6 & Us, 7-8’s, and 9-10 (girls only)

Sun., (date):   9-10 (boys only), 11-12’s, 13-14’s, and 15-18’s

Walnut Country Orange and Blue Pop-ups will mark our team set-up area (see attached map).  Our team space is very limited, so sharing is encouraged. Pop up set up time will be allowed after 6:30 p.m. on Friday, 7/13. Parking is on the surrounding neighborhood streets as the parking lot will be closed. Tip: Arrive early Saturday and/or Sunday to avoid having to walk a long way!

All swimmers should be ready for warmups by 7 a.m. Walnut Country's team warm-up assignment is 7:15 a.m.-7:30 a.m. in lanes 1-3 only. This meet uses a "Clerk of the Course" which requires all swimmers to report to before every race (failure to report will prohibit swimming that race). Parents are responsible for ensuring their child reports to the Clerk of the Course.  Programs are the only way to find out your swimmers’ exact heat and lane for each race and are available for sale the day of the meet (they sell out fast).

Swim meet starts at 8:30 a.m. on both days.
