SBA Parent Booster Meeting

SBA invites all active swimmer's parents to the SBA Parent Booster Meeting on Saturday, October 30 from 3:30pm-5pm at Extreme Fitness.  Select Attend/Decline to indicate whether or not you plan to attend.  In the notes section, indicate the expected number of people in your group.  This will be an in person meeting.

More information will be listed here (agendas, etc) as it gets closer to the meeting.

Bring chairs and beverages of your choice.  We will be meeting on the grass area at the back of the facility.

This quarterly meeting will also have elections for Treasurer and Vice President. Other positions on the board are also open; those positions are appointed by the President with Board Approval.  Should you wish to be considered for any of those positions, please respond to [email protected] no later than October 20.  A separate email with links to the agenda, previous months minutes and financials will be emailed closer to the meeting.
Open Positions for elections:
Treasurer - Executive position, 1 year on the board recommended, but not required
Vice President - Executive position, 1 year on the board recommended, but not required
Open Positions for appointment:
Snack Bar Coordinator
Mater Dei Site Rep
Treasurer Duties include, but are not limited to:
1. Keep accurate and complete accounts of all receipts and disbursements. 
2. Work with admin to collect and deposit all monies in the name of and to the credit of SBA in such depositories as the Board may direct. 
3. Upon Review and Authorization with the President, coordinate with admin to write all checks or other instruments of payment in order to disburse the funds of SBA as may be ordered by the Board, taking proper vouchers for such disbursements. 
4. Furnish monthly and annual financial reports to the Board at the regularly scheduled meetings in a timely manner. 
5. Have all financial records available for annual audit or as deemed necessary by the Board.   
Vice President duties include, but are not limited to:
1. Perform the duties of the President in his/her absence or inability to act. 
2. Perform as parliamentarian at all meetings. 
3. Develop, delegate, and enforce volunteer duties at all non-SBA hosted (away) meets. 
4. Perform such other activities as the Board may direct.   
Snack Bar Coordinator duties include, but are not limited to:
1. Assist the Meet Coordinator in the delegation and completion of volunteers acquiring and delivering of food materials and supplies. 
2. Manage the setup and breakdown of the snack bar. 
3. Delegate roles and duties to SBA volunteers to meet the needs of the event. 
4. Maintain the quality standards of the snack bar. 
5. Manage and update the master list of products necessary to produce a successful SBA-hosted meet snack bar. 
6. Optimize the products and processes after each SBA-hosted event.
Mater Dei Site Rep duties include, but are not limited to:
1. Listen to the constituent concerns of members at the respective sites and bring these concerns to the Board. 
2. Assist the Social/Public Relations Chairperson in disbursing information and newsletters. 
3. Serve as Site Managers for the purpose of assisting the Treasurer in collecting fees. 
4. Work cooperatively with the Team Store Chairperson in appraising site needs. 
5. Work cooperatively with the Social/Public Relations Chairperson in promoting social activities. 
6. Work cooperatively with the coaches, assisting with administrative needs and collecting fees.
