Meets

NOTE #1:  Fees for meets are a separate charge, so swimmers are only charged for meets for which they register.  Meet fees include those charged by the host club for each swimmer in the meet (for meets in North Carolina, these are the Facility Fee and NC Travel Fund Fee), the event fees (for each individual event -- STAR covers the cost for relays), and a $5 STAR Coaches Travel Fund fee (to defray the cost of coaches' attending travel meets).  Meet fees are charged on the 1st of the month after registration is due for the meet.  Swimmers will be charged for the meets for which they are registered at the registration deadline, even if they do not swim, since STAR must pay the host team or GAC and NCS.

NOTE #2:  The STAR registration deadline for meets is prior to the registration deadline indicated in the meet information.  The deadline in the meet information is the date by which the host team must receive all entries.  The STAR deadline is the date by which a swimmer must register so that the coaches have time to select events, finalize entries, and send them to the host team.  For some meets, there will be "late registration" available (with individual event fees doubled and a $10 surcharge), but not for all meets.
