The Wahoos are the only public summer swim team in the City of Alexandria and the Colonial Swim League. The City's Recreation, Parks and Cultural Activities department and the Chinquapin Park Recreation Center and Aquatics Facility partner with parent volunteers to run the team. What makes this team so great is that it draws its members from across the city. Kids of all ages and abilities from different schools come together for the summer to participate in a team sport that also provides for fun and friendship.
