Capital City Rowing is committed to encouraging participation in the sport of rowing in Tallahassee. Our team is a year round competitive rowing team offering high quality professional coaching and technique instruction for all ages and abilities, grades 6-12 from any school. The goal of our team is to provide every member an opportunity to improve rowing skills and achieve success at his or her level of ability, from novice to international competitor.

As a member of Capital City Rowing, an athlete will actively participate in the development of rowing skills and physical fitness. They will have the opportunity to develop self-motivation skills, build self-confidence and self-esteem, a competitive spirit, teamwork, academic achievement, and exposure to a positive athletic experience. While winning is important, it is not the primary purpose of Capital City Rowing. Consistent with this goal, Capital City Rowing recognizes and emphasizes that each member of the team is important, regardless of inherent athletic talent or rowing ability.

We are a non profit (501(3)c) community club; CCR is run by its elected Board of Directors which meets on the first Monday of each month. All members are welcome at each meeting and encouraged to be involved in team activities, regattas, training tables, boat dinners and fundraisers.
