Dobler Breaks National HS Record


Kaitlyn Dobler, swimming for Aloha high school, broke the National Public High School Record in the 100 breast at the OSAA 6A state meet held at Tualatin Hills P&R Center in Beaverton. Kaitlyn's 58.35 bettered the time of 58.40 set by Emily Weiss in 2018. The swim moves Dobler into 4th place on the all-time list for 17-18 girls.



2020-2021 Meet Calendar


The tentative meet calendar has been posted for 2020-2021. You can find it under the Club tab/Meet Directors. You need to confirm your meet if it is listed on the calendar and apply if you are adding one by March 31. Meet Championship bids will be coming out soon.



Coaches Round Table


Alex Nikitin will be leading a round table discussion on Thursday, February 27 from 12-2pm. This will be at Osborn Aquatic Center in Corvallis and is prior to the start of the 11-14 Championships. The discussion will center around the topic of Development of Athletes from Novice to Elite through squad progressions, skill progressions, and season planning.

USA Swimming Safe Sport staff is hosting a "Talking to Parents about Safe Sport" webinar on Wednesday, February 12, 2020, at 10:00 am MT. Please pass this webinar information along to clubs and your LSC's.

OSI Records Broken


At the 2020 Washington Open in Federal Way, WA Kaitlyn Dobler of TDPS bettered Jamie Stone in the 100 fr for the 17-18 girls. Kaitlyn's time of 48.69 is just off of 2004 Olympian Inge de Bruijn's open record of 48.15.



Tech Suit Policy


At the 2019 House of Delegates meeting the "tech suit policy" regarding 12 & unders was updated for clarity. Coaches should meet with, explain to, and educate their swimmers and parents. Oregon Swimming defines a "technical" suit as any suit with bonded or meshed seams.
