Welcome to the website for Wrangell Swimming!

Since 2013 Wrangell Swim Club has operated on a 10 month season from September through June, making it a unique Wrangell youth sports alternative. We offer high quality professional coaching and technique instruction for youth up to age 18. Some athletes swim with us for the entire 10 months, while others swim during the off-season of another sport. The goal of our club is to provide every member an opportunity to improve swimming skills and achieve success at his or her level of ability. Some swimmers choose to swim with us for recreation and just enjoy swimming with their friends but we also hold local inter-squad swim meets each year, and have some swimmers who choose to compete in swim meets throughout Alaska that are sanctioned by USA Swimming.

Wrangell Island Masters Swimming began in August 2015 as a series of coached workouts and clinics for adult swimmers. In January of 2016 we registered as an year round official US Masters Swimming program for adults. As a workout group of the statewide Alaska Masters Swimming program we are able to swim in USMS sanctioned events and form relay teams with masters swimmers throughout Alaska. We have several members currently participating in sanctioned USMS e-postal events; where we can compete nationally by submitting times from the comfort of our Wrangell pool. Now we don't have to let the kids have all the fun!

Our coaches hold nationally recognized certificates including USA Swimming certified coach, Accredited Interscholastic Coach, US Master's Swimming certified coach, Certified USMS Adult Learn to Swim (ALTS) Instructor and membership in the American Swimming Coaches Association.

Come join us in "the funnest sport there is"!
