Club Greenwood Members:

We knew all along the culture created at Club Greenwood with our members and employees was something special, but never do you quite understand the magnitude of that relationship until it?s gone. We miss our Club Greenwood Community! Please know we are thinking of each of you, hoping you are staying well and taking care of yourselves both physically and mentally.

As you know, much has changed since our March 16 email announcing the Club Closure for 30 days pursuant to Public Health Order 20-22. On Thursday, March 19 the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment posted an update to that order. The update included the definition of a gymnasium; means a building or room used for indoor sports or exercise, such as fitness, dance, exercise or group classes, exercise studios and centers, recreation centers, bowling alleys, pools and other indoor athletic facilities. In addition the order was extended through April 30, 2020 meaning the earliest the club could open would be May 1.

After our initial club closure announcement, we were inundated with an overwhelming amount of support and encouragement from our membership, specifically focused around maintaining payment to our employees for as long as possible. Not only is that a primary focus of ours, but we know and understand the reality of this situation does not have an end date and without staff, without revenue and without continuing to make payments on our financial obligations we won?t have a club to open when it is legal and safe to do so.

Many members have asked us to continue taking full dues, waive any potential credits and even find a way to set up a Go Fund Me page for employees. The best way for us to support our employees for as long as possible, and to maintain the existence of Club Greenwood is to continue billing monthly dues as usual. In addition, we will continue to investigate every source of income or assistance available via federal aid, insurance, and deferred bank payments and loans.

We know many of you are facing your own personal challenges during this difficult time, therefore we would like to offer the following membership options while we are closed.

You MUST select one option:

- Continue collecting 100% of your dues. Your generosity will go towards supporting our employees for as long as possible and help maintain the existence of Club Greenwood. You will have access to our Member-only workout webpage.

- Collect 50% of your dues until the club re-opens. Your generosity will go towards supporting our employees for as long as possible and help maintain the existence of Club Greenwood. You will have access to our Member-only workout webpage.

- Cancel your membership effective April 1, 2020. You will no longer have access to our Member-only workout webpage. Please remember if you were to cancel and rejoin at a later date, you will be required to pay the Alumni Initiation fee to rejoin.

Our current resignation policy requires written notification and one full calendar month notice. Due to these unforeseen circumstances, we are waiving the full calendar month notice, therefore any cancelation received from now through March 30, 2020 will be effective April 1.

Please know if you have generously allowed us to continue billing at 100% or 50%, but at some point feel you are not able to continue this payment, you will be able to resign without a full calendar month notice by submitting written notification.

Prepay members will not be penalized; you will receive the same options only in the form of a credit on account. The difference is that you do not have a cancelation option. Your current prepay expiration date will remain the same.

Recurring charges such as Private Lockers, Recovery Zone, Martial Arts and Boxing, Greenwood Tiger Sharks, and Masters Swim Team will have an option of Yes or No to continue billing in full. Prepayments on these services is non-refundable.

Click on the Membership Option Form to complete and submit before March 30, 2020. If we do not hear from you, we will continue your normal billing.

These truly are unprecedented times that require difficult decisions. Please know our intent is to make sure Club Greenwood will be here for you when we are able to open. We look forward to the day when our Greenwood family is back together!
