The USA Swimming Scholastic All America application is now open on the USA Swimming website.

This year the honor is open to 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th graders who have achieved an individual 2017 Winter Junior qualifying time (SAA qualifying time) and have a 3.5 grade point average or higher. The addition of the 9th graders to the program is new this year.

We are encouraging each LSC to promote the program by putting the links to the information and application on its website and keeping the program information available to the LSC athletes who qualify. We also ask you to remind your coaches to encourage their qualified athletes to apply.

The program is promoted throughout the summer to the coaches through the Coaching Connection from the Sport Development division, but often we hear from parents after the deadline that their athlete did not know about the program and that their coach never informed them of the possibility of this honor. Hopefully with a little more in-LSC promotion we can alleviate some of that issue.

The application process is open from June 1 (it is now open) through August 15, 2018. The applicant must be logged into the USA Swimming website as the athlete in order to access the application.

Scarlet-Lyndhurst is hosting their annual "Jersey Strong", and is changing the name to 'Paramus Strong" in honor of all those affected by the school bus accident May 17th 2018, on Route 80.  Ken O'Reilly, Head coach of Scarlet- NJW, was injured in the crash, along with many others.  Ken has had two surgeries, and will need 2-3 more reconstructive surgeries on his leg.  There were two fatalities related to the tragedy, a teacher and a student.  We would like to have a fundraiser the day of the meet to benefit the families, and East Brook Middle School.  Anyone who would like to donate can bring their donations to the meet, or can send donations to: Paramus Strong

C/o Erin Miller, 0-43 Midland Ave., Fairlawn, NJ 07410

We truly appreciate your help!!,  Thank you!
