Coronavirus Update from ISL
April 15, 2020
Dear ISL Members,

We hope you are safe and well.

In monitoring the continued updates and information presented by the CDC, local and national authorities, and taking cues from the City of Irvine, Irvine Unified School District and other relevant entities, we have made the very difficult decision to cancel the 2020 Irvine Swim League season. The health and safety of our ISL swimmers, families and coaches is our primary concern and we will always make decisions in their best interests.

This decision did not come without great thought and care for our ISL community. In addition to safety, we considered the unpredictability of which facilities may be available, what social distancing on pool decks would look like, as well as financial factors that impact each of your teams and the league as a whole. We are all disappointed to cancel the season, and although early, we felt there was no other option. Your team will begin to issue your refund in the coming days and will communicate directly with each of you.

We will miss the sounds and scenes of our busy pools this summer and will look forward to seeing each and every one of you on our pool decks in 2021. We will stay connected in the coming months via email, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram

Stay Safe and Be Well!

Best,

Lizzie Howard
Executive Director
