Hello Shark families and Shark swimmers, hope this message brings you health and positive thoughts while we continue to navigate through this uncertain adventure. We want to thank you for being patient and understanding as we continue to hear of changes each day of the protocols and regulations of school and school sport programs beginning to open. We know this has not been easy and we are sure many of our Shark swimmers want to head back to the pool as soon as possible. Coach Beth wants that as well and misses all of our Shark swimmers and families too!

Governor Andrew Cuomo has announced that lower-risk sports may begin practicing on September 21, 2020. This is great news as swimming is considered a "low-risk" sport. With that said, the Athletic Director, Chris Campolieta of the Baldwinsville Central School District has been in contact with us and has shared that the plan is to get the interscholastic sports up and running first then any outside clubs will follow. We have had many positive discussions with Chris Campolieta and he truly appreciates our feeder program and will guide us when the district feels safe that we can begin our Baldwinsville Sharks Swim Club 2020-2021 season.

Unfortunately, the next step is unknown, but we have a positive start in that swimming is considered a low-risk sport. Additional guidelines are coming and when we get those we will share out as soon as we receive them.

Several new families have reached out and are interested in our program and once we get more information on when we can host our club at the C.W. Baker High School pool we will email those familes who have reached out, plus all new season information will be posted on this site.

To keep the positive vibe going we would like to celebrate our 2019-2020 Baldwinsville Sharks Swim Club swimmers in a special gathering on September 2, 2020 at the Baldwinsville Lysander Town Park. Since we could not celebrate our swimming season at our March banquet we would like to give these amazing swimmers some sort of closure for their 2019-2020-swim season. Coach Beth would like to meet and greet each swimmer with their 2019-2020 swimming certificate, end of season gift and a special yummy treat. Due to the COVID-19 Parks and Recreation guidelines we will have to have each level come at certain times as we cannot have more than 25 in one gathering. We would like to have all White Leveled swimmers come from 5:00pm-5:45pm. Red Leveled swimmers from 6:00pm to 6:45pm and Black Leveled swimmers from 6:45pm to 7:30pm. Families that may have multiple leveled swimmers can choose which time you would like to come for your swimmers. If you are unable to join us please email us at [email protected] and we will figure out a way to get your swimmers gifts to them.

Thank you for your time, support and patience during this COVID-19 journey. Hope to see you all on September 2, 2020.
