Our team is a competitive, YMCA and USA Swimming registered swim team offering quality professional coaching and technique instruction for all ages and abilities providing an environment for youth development and a healthy sense of self-esteem and group interaction. In a caring and personalized atmosphere, team members learn discipline and commitment to hard work, the joy of achievement and the fun of close friendships.
Swimmers are coached in technique, competitive swimming skills, endurance, starts, turns, swimming workouts, and teamwork in a diverse and inclusive environment.
The goal of our team is to provide every member an opportunity to improve swimming skills and achieve success at his or her level of ability, from recreational and novice to collegiate or international competitor.
All NEW swimmers will need to try out for the team to insure proper group placement. Anyone wishing to tryout after those dates will need to make an appointment to do so. Please contact Coach Ian (Ian.McNeal@ymcadc.org) for more information.
