The Armfield Farm Stingrays are a summer swim team comprised largely of Armfield Farm community swimmers ages 5 to 18. The Stingrays welcome swimmers from other local Fairfax County neighborhoods, providing that the prospective swimmer does not have a community team in their own neighborhood.

We welcome all levels of swimming ability from beginner to advanced, though children must be able to swim one length of the pool unassisted to participate(e.g., without touching the floor of the pool, grabbing lane lines, etc.). Our skilled and talented coaching staff will ensure that all swimmers on the team have the appropriate instruction to succeed.

We like to have fun as much as we like to swim...
In addition to daily practices and swim meets, there are a myriad of social activities the team sponsors to provide fun and team spirit for the children and their families. Some of the activities the children have come to expect and love are Friday night team pasta dinners, fun meets, pep rallies, League Days at Kings Dominion, Splash Down Day, breakfast after Saturday meets, bowling night and more. The season culminates with an awards dinner and party that all the families enjoy. All members are encouraged to be involved in team activities and fundraisers.

Swimming is a family sport.
It takes an army of volunteers to make our swim meets and other events run smoothly. As such, we have a requirement that all swim team families provide a minimum number of volunteer hours each season. That number is set annually, based upon team enrollment.

Join us this summer!
Our mission is to promote the sport of swimming as a healthy lifetime activity; provide a quality summer experience for team participants and their families; teach and promote good sportsmanship and team spirit; as well as, teach and encourage proper swimming technique in a safe group setting.

We are constantly growing and training young swimmers to maintain a well-rounded competitive swim team. We look forward to another successful year.

Go Stingrays!

Note: You do not need to pay to join the Armfield Farm pool to participate in the swim team nor are you required to live in the community, though a limited number of pool memberships are available from the HOA.
