WK Wahoos is a community youth summer swim team, swimming in the Frederick Summer Swim League (FSSL). Wahoos wet their fins at practice the Tuesday after Memorial Day and continue 10 weeks of practices, Monday through Friday through the last week of July.

Wahoos meet schedule consists of one Time-Trial meet before the official season begins, and 6 FSSL meets, including Divisionals and All Stars.

Wahoos are coached by experienced, professional Head Coach, Assistant Coach and Jr. Coaches. The coaches instruct proper technique for all ages and abilities. Wahoos Team requirements are that the swimmer is able to swim one length of the pool, and comes to practice with a coachable attitude.

The goal of the Wahoos is that every swimmer enjoys swimming, and improves their skills. Wahoos coaches measure success by keeping track of personal best times achieved and awarded. Our success is also measured by our success at the meets we swim in. Ultimately Wahoos are unified as one team working together to succeed.

We offer Marvelous Mondays, structured practices, and additional Stroke and Turn clinics to accomplish our goals.

Wahoos are run by a "Team Wahoos"- Parent Volunteer Committee. The Team Rep reports to the FSSL governing body. We meet at least quarterly in the off season and every month in the pre-season.

We welcome all parents at each meeting and encourage involvement in team activities and fundraisers.
