Potomac Station Sailfish :

Sailfish families,

Welcome to the 2020 Sailfish Season! Registration is now open. Since there is still much uncertainty about our swim season at this time, we will NOT be collecting the registration fee up front. Once we know more (and hopefully can have a complete or partial swim season), we will then proceed to collect registration fees- these fees are listed on the registration page.

We're excited that our coaching leadership will return from 2019. Our team will be led by Head Coach Jill Orton, and our coaching staff tentatively includes John Rossbach, Caroline Pennington, Abby Porter, Emma Bower, Ryan DeMonte, and Alanna Krahulic.

As per Sailfish guidelines, all swimmers will need to swim the length of the pool in order to be deemed eligible for the main swim team (or referred to the Little Sailfish team); this is for the safety of all of the swimmers. Swimmers age 8 and under, and swimmers new to the team will be required to attend a 'try-out' practice.

The Little Sailfish will also continue this summer for swimmers who aren?t quite ready to join the main Sailfish team yet. Swimmers must be at least 4 and no older than 8 by June 15 of the summer swim season. To be accepted on the Little Sailfish team, the swimmer must be able to get into the water comfortably and be able to swim 1/3 the length of the pool unassisted, approx 10 meters. Little Sailfish will be required to be evaluated by our head coach before being accepted on the team. You may register for Little Sailfish on the team registration page.

SWIMSUITS and TEAM SPIRITWEAR- information will be shared at a later date.
