It's time for the 2017 season to begin! A sincere welcome back to all our returning swimmers and families and a HUGE welcome aboard to our new ones!

Swimming is the best sport on the planet! We are giving our children the following gifts,
- A lifesaving activity. On average 10 USA citizens die every day, and another 5 suffer permanent brain damage due to a near drowning. It is estimated that over 85 % of these terrible accidents are preventable.
- A lifelong fitness activity.
- A chance to be part of great teams and a great league.
- A chance to improve, achieve best times, and opportunities to practice toughness and courage.
- For the young swimmers, a chance to think about swimming on a high school team or for the high school swimmers a chance to compete in the summer.
- An opportunity to improve aerobic fitness helping with their science and math.
-Our teams are co-ed and have mixed ages allowing for many amazing positive interactions.

SSL board has worked hard to keep the league fees as reasonable as possible, while providing a safe swimming environment with a great season culminating championships. Again we will be at the Woodland Charles Brook pool for our championships. We want to thank the League Championship committee led by Garrett Kirkland for all their hours of work. If you see these folks let them know how appreciate we are of their work.

The position of League Vice President is Bryan Madsen of Parkway Tiffany McLaughlin has graciously stayed on the board, this year as our league Treasurer. Mili Sheth remains as our league Secretary! And finally, Bill Naramore of Parkway supported by Michelle Vick are filling the computer chair slot that also includes League Registrar. The league is fortunate to have the knowledge and continued support of our league advisors, Pat and Bob Peck. We have a strong team who we are honored to work with. It is truly rewarding and challenging at the same time, and a great opportunity to give to our sport and our children

We are looking forward to a great season ahead, filled with good competition and outstanding sportsmanship.
