Charlottesville Swans Synchronized Swimming was founded in October 2012 by Coach Samantha Elhart with the mission of introducing synchronized swimming to athletes and growing the sport in the Charlottesville, VA, area developing a team to compete at the regional and national levels. In just four years the team has grown to over 30 swimmers and in 2016 we were proud to have 6 routines qualify to compete at Junior Olympics National Championships by placing in the Top 3 in the Virginia/Carolinas/Potomac Valley Region!

We offer programs for Recreational (non-competitive), Novice, Intermediate, and Age Group swimmers ages 12-Under, 13-15, and 16-17. We choreograph routines and decorate suits and headpieces to fun music of all popular genres, and age group swimmers can even select their own music and have input to their choreography!

In addition to competing the Charlottesville Swans perform locally for audiences at their end-of-season watershow in May and at the summer camp watershow each August. Local performances are held at the Swans "home" pool, Fairview Swim & Tennis Club.
