Penn Aquatics (PENN) Summer Swim Team season begins
shortly after Memorial Day and continues until the end of July at
the Oxford Valley Pool, located at 445 Hood Blvd in Fairless
Hills, PA. Penn Aquatics is part of the Lower Bucks Swim
and Suburban Aquatics League (SAL) programs have been around for
almost 50 years, and has remained a top program for all these years
because of its core values. PENN has always been for
there for all swimmers from the beginner to the elite. Our LBSL program is no
different! PENNs goal is and always will be that
we want swimmers to have fun! If the kids want to have fun, they will
want to be at the pool. If
they want to be at the pool, they will want to learn. This not only makes your jobs as
parents easier, but it also makes our jobs as coaches easier. Click
here to see the Parent Handbook:
mechanics has always been a big goal of ours here at PENN.
Every year we as coaches try and reach our goal by having all our
swimmers legal in all 4 strokes. Poor stroke mechanics can lead to
injury, and here at PENN we want to see the kids reach any
goal they set for themselves. So, proper swim technique is very
important to us here at PENN.
We will be offering
practice 5 days a week in the afternoon until school is out, and
then 5 days a week in the morning during the summer. Practice schedule Groups are White
(beginner), Orange, Black, and Senior (experienced).
We always tell
parents you will see the best results out of your kids if they
practice about 3 days a week. However, PENN does not set practice
requirements. The only requirement we ask of our swimmers is they
swim in at least three dual meets. We also ask for help from
our parents and families.
We wouldn't be able to run a dual meet without parent volunteers to
help us, so we ask parents to donate their time to support at least
2 dual meets.
PENN will also be
offering Stroke Clinics and extra weekend practices for swimmers
who are interested in getting a little more work in. We will be
offering these clinics and practices on NON-meet weekends. We
hope you will join us!
