Thank you for your interest in HSST! We are a
year round, competitive team and member of USA Swimming. Our
practice groups range from the early beginner with practices 2 days
per week up to the high school swimmers that are in the pool 5 days
per week. Invitation to join the team is based upon an
evaluation at the scheduled try out, and the decision is made by
our Head Coach.
General info about HSST: The annual team
registration is $125/year, but is pro-rated if you join after
January 31. There is also a USA Swimming registration fee of $75
that is required each year. Monthly dues range from $35/month to
$90/month, depending on which practice group your swimmer is in. We
host a meet each January, at which participation and parent
volunteer hours are required. We also have a swim a thon fundraiser
in April, along with other events for which we may ask parents for
help. We are a competitive team, and we expect our swimmers to
compete. We typically have one meet on the schedule per month. If
your swimmer is a beginner, your coach will direct you as to which
meets are recommended for you to attend. Meets are usually in the
Phoenix area, but we also have meets in Bullhead, Kingman, and
Flagstaff.
