Fall Lesson Swimester 2019 - Session 1
Welcome to the Wissahickon Community Aquatic Club (WCAC) Electronic Registration platform for the Fall Lesson Swimester 2019.
The philosophy of the WCAC lessons program is to provide quality instruction for a necessary life skill. We attempt to nurture confidence and dissipate fear for the non-swimmer in an aquatic setting. Our main focus is to make the non-swimmer safe while eliciting positive emotions surrounding the water. Results will be our first priority. Instructors will consist of professional, graduate, undergraduate, and high school personnel with swimming experience. Our swimmer to instructor ratio is an ideal 5/1. Classes will run approximately 45-60 minutes, depending on how much progress is made each day. Parents are not involved in the lesson (you get to watch from the sidelines) and no water wings will be used.
All instructors are USwim1 certified in a techique that differentiates instruction for each child within the group.
Lessons are open to participants ages 3-10 from absolute beginner to advanced technique work. You may select the 6:00pm class or the 7:00pm class at registration including ability level. It's ok if you're not sure which ability level to register because we'll complete a quick assessment on the first day of class.
We look forward to having you join the WCAC family!
