HEAT is an age group competitive swim team. Our competitive team encompass a variety of swimming abilities for ages 5 through 22+. Our Swim team now offers a 3 season opportunity for our swimmers; a fall USA season, a winter season and summer season. The fall season is designed for our experienced swimmers to compete in a USA season leading into our winter age group/USA season. In the winter season we practice 3-5 times a week depending on the level, and attend meets on Saturdays. The summer season also includes age group/USA season. The teams practice 3-5 times a week depending on the level. While also attending weekday and weekend meets. Swimmers are able to participate in at least 3 dual meets and a championship meet in the winter and summer season as part of the registration cost. Invitationals and USA Swimming are options for all swimmers, and provide added opportunities for competition at an additional cost.
*Swimmers MUST be registered in a HEAT Level prior to the first practice. If you have participated in HEAT before, you should have received a HEAT level assignment for the upcoming season. If you have not participated in HEAT before, you will need to attend the evaluation session prior to the start of the season. Staff will be on hand to take attendance, and any swimmer who is not registered will have to sit out of the practice.
*Registration for HEAT and USA covers the cost for a team latex cap. If you wish to upgrade to a silicone cap, please turn in the latex one you receive and pay the difference in cost.
*Swimmers must compete in 1(one) dual or WMSL event to qualify for post season swims(districts, JO's, WMSL Championship, State meet)
