Mission Statement

The mission of OCCS is to develop the character traits, technical skills, work ethic, and intense desire necessary for maximal realization of each individual’s potential, both as a person and as a competitive swimmer.

Vision Statement

OCCS achieves excellence through individualized growth and team unity by providing quality leadership and instruction. We maintain a safe team environment where every swimmer is encouraged to build friendships, hard work, and have fun in the process of their development. We provide the motivation and discipline necessary to develop skills and self-esteem, resulting in a winning experience.

Swimmers will be required to be approved for entrance into certain levels based on their skills and past experience.  Although you are registering for a certain level, the coaching staff will determine the best place for your swimmer to grow and continue to develop into a stronger swimmer at the correct pace.

Programs are set with specific criteria based on age, past skill acquisition and experience, commitment and specific career progress.  If your swimmer is new to OCCS, please be sure to talk with a coach prior to registering to ensure you are enrolling your swimmer in the correct group. However, based on late assessments, adjustments may be made after you complete registration if needed.

Each swimmer registered by August 1 will also receive an OCCS Start Up Packet (includes shirts, etc. exact items will be announced).  Swimmers registered after August 1, gear may be limited or not available.

RETURNING FAMILIES - be sure to update your swimmer's size while registering to ensure they receive the correct size. We will order shirts based on what is input on August 1 and there may not be exchange options available.

All swimmers are required to input insurance information & emergency contacts. (Please update if needed)

Only the registration fee of $250 per swimmer is due at the time of registering; tuition will be billed starting September 1 based on your choice of payment options.  Changes in payment options may be made until August 30; after this date, your contract will be set for the installments of tuition.

If you have any questions regarding the registration process, please email Aaron Dean (gm@swimoccs.org) or call 703-309-3857

Registrations are not guaranteed until approved by OCCS administration. You will be contacted immediately if there is a problem with your swimmer’s registration.  Otherwise as long as your swimmer was assessed for their group, your account will be 'activated' or your swimmers approved for the new 2019 Swimming year on or shortly after August 1, 2018.

Team Gear such as swim suits, warm ups, training equipment, etc. is not included in the registration fee, but is available from Riptide Swim Shop located inside Central Parks Aquatics.  Gear may be purchased at their website or at their store.

The 2019 Kick off meetings and events will start Tuesday, May 4, 2018
