2019 Swim Team Registration
Registration for Summer 2019 Swim Team is now open.
As part of the Swim Team online registration process, you will be asked to certify that you have already mailed in your 2019 CCH Family Membership Pool Dues. If you have not yet mailed in your 2019 CCH Family Membership Pool Dues, please do not commence with the Swim Team online registration process.
If you are a returning Swim Team family, it is critical that you register using your previously assigned login or you will risk losing all previously compiled performance records for your children. (You will have the option to change to a different login later.)
If you need help logging in, please contact: Jennifer Hanks at email@example.com

Frequently Asked Questions
Who is eligible to swim with the team? Registration for, and participation in, swim team is limited to 2019 paid/approved registrants with a CCH Pool family membership. Swimmers must be 18 or younger as of June 1 of this year. These requirements are consistent with the CCH's obligations to the Northern Virginia Swim League. Please contact membership at firstname.lastname@example.org if you are interested in joining CCH Pool.
What are the Fees? Registration fees for 2019 Swim Team are: $125 per swimmer. The fee is the same whether your child swims with the Competition Team or with the Mini Sharks. A team t-shirt and a team latex cap will be included in this fee if registration and payment are completed by Monday, May 13, 2019. There is no guarantee that additional t-shirts and caps will be available if registration and payment are made after 5/14. Swim Team fees are separate from your pools dues.
Can I order spirit wear? Yes! The team store will be open shortly! Please check back in a few days!
What do I wear to swim meets? In 2019, for A meets, the team suit is STRONGLY RECOMMENDED and can be purchased on the Team Store on this site. For A meets, if not wearing a team suit, swimmers may wear a black suit. For B meets, the team suit is encouraged. Most swimmers also wear goggles and a swim cap.
What is the swim team refund policy? Refunds will be processed minus a $25.00 administrative fee only for children who are registered either for the competition team or the Mini-Shark program but who, in the judgment of the coaching staff, do not pass the initial skills assessment. There will be NO other refunds.
Is my child allowed to start practices if I am on the Wait List for Pool registration? No. Swim Team participation is limited to swimmers with a paid/approved CCH Pool family membership.
Are there tryouts for the team? There is a skills assessment test, but no speed criteria to join our programs. The assessment applies only to swimmers who will be new to the Swim Team in 2019 as well as anyone who swam at the Mini-Sharks level in 2018. See the Eligibility Criteria chart under Programs for the required skills associated with each program level found on the Swim Team Home Page.
Is there a cap on enrollment? For safety reasons, we have a provisional cap on the Mini Sharks program at 30 participants. Total program enrollment, including Mini Sharks, is provisionally capped at 200 participants. These caps may adjust (up or down) based on the skill level of actual enrollment.
What are the CCH Swim Team Policies? Swim Team policies can be found on the Swim Team Home Page. Please review carefully before completing registration.
What is the 2019 practice schedule? We will begin after school and early evening practices for the Competition Team, weather permitting, starting Tuesday, May 28th. Weekday morning practices for all age brackets will start, weather permitting, on Monday, June 18th. New swimmers must attend assessment before beginning practice.

What are the 2019 volunteer requirements? Each swim meet, whether home or away, and swim team social and team building events require many, many volunteers in order to make them successful! No experience is necessary for many of the volunteer opportunities. Signing up for a specific number of volunteer slots per family is a CCH Swim Team REQUIREMENT. At the beginning of each swim season, the required number of volunteer slots will be identified (it's based on the number of swimmer families enrolled) This number will be confirmed once swim team registration is completed and before time trials.
The volunteer requirement for families with only mini-shark members (no competition team members) will be to help with the end-of-season Lollipop meet and the Woodley mini-meet if their children are participating.
In order to ensure that registered families meet their volunteer requirement, families from the 2018 season who did NOT meet the mandatory volunteer credits will be required to submit a $100.00 deposit, in addition to their swim team dues, as part of registration. This deposit will be refunded as soon as the volunteer requirement is met.
If the volunteer requirement is not met, the deposit will be forfeited. Those families affected by this will be notified by the Swim Team Rep before swim team registration closes. Failure to submit this deposit prior to the start of the swim team season on May 28th may result in your swimmer(s) not being able to practice and participate in swim meets.
What are some examples of volunteer opportunities? Volunteer opportunities involve jobs that are related to the running of a swim meet AND supporting the swim team in social and/or team building events. Many of these opportunities require absolutely no training. For example, timers, concessions, ribbon writers, parties, fundraising or lock-ins. A complete list of volunteer opportunities can be found on the website or by contacting the volunteer coordinator, Michelle Roth at email@example.com
