Swim Team Registration - Summer Session

We are excited to announce that Swim Team Registration for the summer session opens April 12!  To register, you must have a Team Unify account.  The summer session will run June 1st - OMPA (end of July/1st of August).  Separately, May spring clinic registration will open later this month.

MVP Swim Team registration is for Moraga Valley Swim and Tennis Club members only.

Summer Swim Team Fee:

$325 per swimmer before April 25th (includes team shirt and swim cap)

$350 per swimmer beginning on April 26th

$100 per swimmer for those swimmers in the 15-19 age group

Refunds:

Swim Team is refundable up until June 1, 2021 (first day of practice).  If you are still undecided about summer plans or joining the swim team this year, we encourage you to sign up anyways.  It helps the Swim Team Board and Coaches Trevor and Ross in our planning, knowing how many swimmers to anticipate this summer.

Swim Team Practices:

We are VERY optimistic that we can have a more normal swim season this summer. As such, we are moving forward with planning for a regular five-days-a-week swim team schedule.  Summer practices will begin Tuesday, June 1st.  Swim team practice times are still being worked on by coaches Trevor and Ross.  Trevor anticipates practices will run 8am-3pm.  Please remember, this comes as a result of continuing progress with Covid-19. Should the County Health Department issue further guidance, restrictions or limitations that affect youth sports, or swim teams specifically, we will need to adjust our season accordingly.  Trevor and Ross are in constant contact with other OMPA Swim Coaches so we are “all on the same page.”

Volunteer Commitment:

Normally, parents would be required to commit to volunteer hours during April.  However, we are not opening volunteer sign ups yet. VOLUNTEER HOURS WILL STILL BE REQUIRED THIS SUMMER.  We are still not 100% confirmed on how many volunteers we'll need for each Meet. With a modified swim meet schedule and possible capacity limitations on the pool deck, we are just not sure what help will be needed and how meets will be run.  By registering your swimmer(s), you are agreeing that you will fulfill your volunteer obligations this summer.

Committing to Meets:

We are asking all parents to commit each swimmer for each swim meet when you register.  We know your plans may change, and your commitment during registration will not be permanent, but it will help guide us as we begin to work with the other teams to plan our meets and how they will be run. In general, Swim Team commitment cut offs this year will be approx. 1 week before the swim meet in order for us to plan.

**Swim Team Commitments are NOT a preference (do not choose Wednesday Night or Saturday Morning). Assume your swimmer is needed at BOTH days and commit to them according to your availability.

How to Sign out of Meets:

On the homepage you will see the meet schedule towards the bottom.  Click on the “Edit Commitment” Button to the right of each meet.  From there, your active swimmer(s) should be listed. Click on each child's name and sign them out individually.

As always, please do not hesitate to contact [email protected] with any questions!  We are so excited for this summer!

GO MVP!

**NOTE Returning families:
If your swimmers participated in 2019, please sign in with the account email address that you used last year before starting registration. Your swimmers are already in our system and are associated with your account.  You simply need to ensure that their information is current and make additions, if appropriate. You should not create new Account information. This way, we don't have to clean up duplicate information.

**NOTE New families:
You will need to complete Account information for your family as well as Member information for each swimmer. Upon completion, your registration must first be approved by the team administrator. Typically this takes less than 24 hours. Once approved, you will receive an email and a sign-in password which you can use to access the site and sign out of swim meets as mentioned above.
