2018 Tri4Him Junior Elite Team


Team Structure

Tri4Him's Junior Elite TEam (JET) is organized into multiple groups to provide young athletes of every commitment and performance level a place to flourish and grow.

Regardless which group is the best fit, ALL Tri4Him JET athletes will learn to have strong character, work ethic, sportsmanship, responsibility, and respect for teammates, coaches, fellow competitors, and officials.

Multiple Practice Locations

Tri4Him's JET is pleased to announce that we'll be having multiple practice locations this season to accommodate the demand for participating with, and being part of, everything that Tri4Him stands for.  Coaches are USAT certified, full-time coaches dedicated to ensuring your kids success, whatever that may be for them.

 

DEVELOPMENTAL GROUP

Brief Description

  • Beginner level athlete

  • Learn fundamentals of each discipline

  • Gain confidence in each discipline

  • Benefit from team atmosphere

  • Integrate fun with hard work

  • Create base fitness level in each discipline

General Criteria: Athlete competes only in local youth races and their race age 12 or below.

Basic Training Schedule:  3 days a week; Monday, Thursday, Saturday

Potential Race Calendar:  Local youth races.

 

Pre-COMPETITIVE GROUP

Brief Description

  • Experienced young athlete (Completed 10+ Tri's)
  • Driven to Compete and work hard
  • Wants to be there, does not need pushed to practice, but pushed to excel
  • Must meet Time Trial times to participate
  • Benefit from team atmosphere
  • Integrate fun with hard work
  • Athlete typically races in Regional Youth Series
  • Continue to become proficient in each discipline
  • Gain confidence in performing at higher speeds
  • Learn competitiveness
  • Develop accountability
  • Make physical gains in performance

General Criteria: Athlete competes in local youth races and regional series races and their race age 12 or below.  This group is for the dedicated young athlete who has big dreams and is willing to put in the work to achieve them.

Basic Training Schedule:  4 days a week; Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday

Potential Race Calendar:  Local youth races and travels to Regional Youth Series.

 

COMPETITIVE GROUP

Brief Description

  • Intermediate level athlete

  • Continue to become proficient in each discipline

  • Gain confidence in performing at higher speeds

  • Learn competitiveness

  • Develop accountability

  • Make physical gains in performance

General Criteria:  Athlete is race age 13 and over OR athlete competes in out-of-town, in-state races.

Basic Training Schedule:  5 days a week; Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday

Potential Race Calendar:  Local races plus Regional Youth Series races.

 

ELITE – REGIONAL GROUP

Brief Description

  • Intermediate to advanced level athlete

  • Athletes possess good knowledge of each discipline

  • Athlete demonstrates proficiency in each discipline

  • Athlete is driven to achieve high level of performance

  • Athlete competes in local Sprint distance races

  • Athlete competes in out-of-town, in-state Sprint distance races

General Criteria: Athlete race age is 16 and above OR any athlete racing Sprint distance.

Basic Training Schedule:  5 days a week; Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday

Potential Race Calendar:  U15 race in the Regional Youth Series and in-state sprints.  U19 race in-state sprints.

 

ELITE – NATIONAL GROUP

Brief Description

  • Advanced level

  • Athlete possess excellent knowledge and abilities in the biking discipline

  • Athlete is proficient in each discipline

  • Athlete competes in local Sprint distance races

  • Athlete competes in out-of-town, in-state Sprint distance races.

  • Athlete competes in national-qualifying races

  • Athlete competes at nationals if qualified

General Criteria:  Athlete attempting to qualify for USAT National Championship

Basic Training Schedule:  5 days a week; Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday

Potential Race Calendar:  U15 race in the Regional Youth Series and the National Qualifiers.  U19 race In-State Sprints plus National Qualifiers.

 

*Individual Coaching Sessions

Individual coaching sessions are available for sport specific work, goal setting, race preparation and more. Group and/or bundle sessions are available at a discounted rate.
