Important Information for the
2021 Spring/Summer Season
**Please Read All Info On This Page**
Registration: We are asking for all swimmers to register for the Spring/Summer season which will begin with practices on April 6th. With the ever changing environment and our commitment to providing a safe and successful swim season, ASC will be following all guidelines set forth by the operating facility which includes social distancing, sanitation, and regulations regarding illness.
Due to Ashwaubenon Park & Rec's co-sponsorship of ASC, registration is limited to Ashwaubenon residents, and students school-choiced in Ashwaubenon schools.
Waiver: We are requiring all swimmers to provide a signed COVID-19 Waiver in order to be able to participate in practices. This can be found on our ASC website under the Parent Page tab along the top of the home page. If your child swam this past winter, we will need a new signed waiver for this fall. You will also be able to read over the club's COVID safety plan for our pool and the safety measures that will continue to be taken over the course of this season.
Equipment: Suits: Athletes are required to have a snug compression fitting solid black racing suit that is only worn for meets (i.e. not worn to practice). Practice suits still need to remain compression-like, however the color can be chosen by the swimmer.
Caps: Team caps will be required for swim meets and then optional (but recommended) for practices. The club will provide a cap for each swimmer with an option for the families to purchase more. We are asking that all swimmers wear the team caps for meets to show team spirit and unity while competing.
Fins: Throughout the year, our coaches like to utilize swimming fins to enhance workouts during practices. The ASC fins that the swimmers have been using are showing their age and in some cases we may not have enough fins for all of the swimmers use. While we will try to provide fins for everyone, we are asking that swimmers purchase and bring their own fins to practice. This way they will be assured a good fit and quality in order to strengthen their practice experiences
Volunteer Commitment: Just like for any other season, family volunteering adds to the success of the club and the swimmers. While we are still working out the details regarding this season, there will be a time where the club will need volunteers. A volunteer commitment will be published at a later date so please keep an eye out for that.
We have one home meet scheduledso far for this season. If the swimming environment allows for the meets to continue, it is scheduled for May 21-23. Please plan to volunteer this weekend and more information will be provided when available.
We will also be planning for a few fundraisers this season which will include, restaurant spirit nights, Huterra, gas card sales, and possibly others. More information will be provided once the season gets under way.
Please be sure to complete all requested information. Incomplete information will result in a delay in your swimmer's registration.
Once your registration is processed, you'll get access to your own private account that will enable you easily declare for swim meets, sign-up for jobs, see your children's swim times histories, maintain your own contact information, see your account billing and more.
Optional Donation: While we are beginning another season in this challenging time, we are also awaiting confirmation that events that raise money for the club can go on as planned. So during this time, the club will have expenditures that will need to be paid. If you are willing and able to make a donation to the club or a corporate sponsorship, it will be much appreciated. Please send any donations to ASC, P.O.Box 28246, Green Bay, WI 54324. Thank you very much for your support.
We are looking forward to having you join the Ashwaubenon Swim Club and are excited for another great season!
