2016- 2017 Planet Swim Aquatics Team Fees and Membership
Payments are due on the 1st of each month.
Monthly Training Fee
Group* (Momentum Gym)
group requires a mandatory gym participation. The monthly fee
already includes a Gym Membership fee. Momentum Gym offers
professional strength and conditioning mentorship.
Registration fee: Annual Registration Fee
for the full season (September 1st- August 31st) is $195,
any additional swimmer will be $175.00.* If
joining the team throughout the season the registration fee is
as follows: between January 1st and April
30th the fee will be $145.00 for each swimmer, if
registered between May 1st and August
31st the fee will be $115.00. This
fee is assessed annually and includes the annual USA Swimming
athlete registration fee, insurance, team swim
cap, team t-shirt, and team suit.
* Registrations are
valid through August 31 of the current season year.
Team monthly dues: are based on swimmers’
practice group placement and selected program period (see
“Fees” on the website for additional detail).
Meet fees: Swim meet fees vary with each meet,
will be included on your monthly invoice, and are in addition to
your Team Dues. You are responsible for meet entry fees and coaches
fee for every swim meet you participate. Meet entry fees must be
paid a week prior to the swim meet and will be billed to your
account on file.
Coaches fee for away meet will be divided by the group attending
** Away meet cost applies for: Hotel,
Airfare, Car Rental, Gas and Coaches per diem.
Monthly invoices: invoices are generated and
posted to each account on the 21st day of each
month and must be paid on the 1st of each month.
Planet Swim will send an invoice to all families. Please take the
time and review the details of all charges posted during the month
and let Planet swim office staff know if there is any mistake with
your charges. This is to allow sufficient amount of time for
each family to go over all items posted, ask questions and make
changes when necessary, before an automatic on-line payment is
processed on the 1st day of the month.
Policy: You have an option to pay by
credit/debit card or check but Planet Swim requires that
every member add a credit card to our registration
form, however if you choose to pay by check please select
‘pay by check’ in your registration. If payment by
check has not reached Planet Swim by the 5th day of the
month, the Credit card on file will be processed without any
penalty. Your payment will be automatically processed on the 1st
day of every month during the duration of the contract (9 months).
Payment arrangements must be made prior to the 1st day
the swimmer begins practicing. If your account balance is 60
days past due this will result in suspension of
your swimmer(s) until the account is settled. A $20.00 late
fee will be assessed if payment is not received by the
5th of the month. All accounts that are
90 days past due will be sent to collection agency. Should the
collections actions on your account become necessary, you will be
responsible for all costs associated with collections actions
including but not limited to court costs and/or legal fees. All
funds owed to Planet Swim from previous swim season must be
paid in full before the swimmer is allowed to participate in the
new swim season.
Family discount plan: the swimmer in the
highest-level program is charged the full fee. The second and
each additional swimmer in the family are entitled to a 5%
discount on their fees.
Agreement/Early termination: Swimmers wishing to
join the year-round swim team must commit to a seasonal membership
plan. Membership calendar starts on September
1st ending on May 31st. Membership for
the months of June, July and August will be optional and will not
require any agreement, but will secure the swimmer’s spot for
the following season. Membership agreement for swimmers joining the
year-round swim team after September 1st will be
pro-rated based on sign-up date and will expire on May 31st of the
current season. If a swimmer decides to terminate their membership
agreement prior to May 31st of the current season,
the parent must notify our billing administrator by e-mail at
email@example.com or firstname.lastname@example.org
before the 1st day of the month to avoid upcoming
monthly dues charge. There is an early termination fee of $125 for
every swimmer who wishes to terminate their agreement prior to the
expiration date. Additionally, there will be a $25 re-activation
fee for members wishing to re-activate their account prior to the
start of the new season. More information regarding

Financial abatements: Are granted by Planet Swim
billing on a case-by-case basis. In general,
financial abatements are granted only for injury or illness
during a season. A physician’s statement may be
required before and the billing staff will review the
individual situation. Financial abatements will not be granted if
pool is unavailable, short-term seasonal breaks, pool
break-downs, weather, or other unforeseen circumstances.
Parent Responsibilities: To have a successful
program there must be understanding, participation,
involvement, and cooperation among parents, swimmers, and
coaches. Planet Swim Aquatics is a parent-supported program,
and we depend on your commitment to keep the program going.
Fundraisers and other team activities including swim
meets, clinics and camps provide the team with additional resources
that allow keeping membership dues down while providing high
quality program for our children. In order to save team
costs, we rely on our website, e-mail, and online billing
to conduct team business and keep you informed, so please
familiarize yourself with these tools. Please have swimmers at
practice on time and pick them up promptly after practice. Most
importantly be supportive and encourage your swimmers. If you
have any concerns, please contact the coach before or after
