Lancaster Family YMCA Lightning

Spring Programs & Summer Long Course

The Lancaster Family YMCA Lightning will be offering spring clinics for all levels and a spring/summer long course program for swimmers in the Junior Competitive, Competitive, and High School/National groups.  Spring/Summer Long Course participants must be YMCA members.

Spring Practices will be held @ the Lancaster City Center YMCA

April 16th – June 9th

Summer Long Course Practices will be held @ the Lancaster County Pool

June 11th – July 27th

FOUNDATIONAL

Foundational swimmers are 10 & under and have minimal competitive experience.  The goal of this group is to build a strong foundation of swimming skills and a love of the sport.  The spring clinic will focus on stroke development and fun.

Spring Clinic:  $150 member/$180 non-member

JUNIOR COMPETITIVE

Junior Competitive swimmers are between the ages of 9 and 12 and have some competitive experience.  The goal of this group is to further the development of all four strokes as well as starts and turns.  The spring clinic will focus on stroke mechanics and conditioning.

Spring Clinic:  $186 member/$216 non-member Spring/Summer Long Course:  $372

COMPETITIVE

Competitive swimmers are between the ages of 11 and 14 and they have significant competitive experience.  The goal of this group is to become a strong competitor in all four strokes.  This group will have more challenging workouts with a focus on preparation for advanced competition.

Spring Clinic:  $279 member/$324 non-member Spring/Summer Long Course:  $558

HIGH SCHOOL/NATIONAL TEAM

The High School/National Team is for high school age swimmers.  The goal of this group is to prepare swimmers for success in their high school program and the YMCA and/or USA Swimming circuits.  This group will focus on refining stroke mechanics and increasing training intensity.  National level swimmers will be expected to swim year-round and maintain 80% or higher attendance. 

Spring Clinic:  $315 member/$360 non-member Spring/Summer Long Course:  $629
