Our annual Shark-A-Thon will take place on Friday, July 26.

All Sharks are required to participate in this year’s Shark-A-Thon. The Shark-A-Thon consists of asking for pledge donations from family, friends, neighbors, etc. and anyone else who would like to support our local swim team. This season, donors will be able to contribute via cash or check OR online! On July 26, our athletes will swim as many lengths as possible in the time allotted. After completing the event, the swimmers tell their donors how many lengths they swam and collect their pledge money. In the past we have had athletes swim anywhere from 12 lengths (300 meters) to 100 lengths (2,500 meters)!

Why do we need to fund-raise?
We need help fund raising money each season to support our team. Funds raised help cover our team operating costs and allow us to keep team fees low. We also use these funds to purchase equipment and accessories that are used during practice and to run swim meets.

How it works:
Athletes show up for their allotted time with their pledge forms – you must bring your pledge form in order to participate!!  It is very important we start on time, so please show up early and ready to go. PARENTS will help count lengths for their children. We will provide supplies, but please bring a lawn chair.

-Age Groups: 6 & under, 7-8, 9-10, 11-12, 13-14, 15 & older
-Prizes will be awarded for most lengths swum in each age group
